Upboat WallPapers - Reddit Powered Desktop Wallpapers

This program will syncronize your desktop background with the highest upvoted Wallpaper from a Reddit Wallpaper category of your choice. Plus you can have the Reddit Alien in your system task tray, and that makes me smile.

Why Would I Want Upboat Running on My System ಠ_ಠ ?

After leaving the day and coming back to my computer I like to see a new wallpaper there on my desktop, and I also enjoy pictures from Reddit. So I created this program so I could take advantage of the Reddit picture categories and make the most upvoted picture my desktop wallpaper.

Features:

Grabs the most upvoted wallpaper every x amount of hour(s) (as long as you have the program minimized).
Can auto detect current screen resolution, or you can choose your own resolution.
Can skip resolution check and just select to grab the most upvoted picture in that category. (choosing this option will make your wallpaper change more frequently)
Can choose between a Stretched, Centered, or Tiled Wallpaper.
Only looks for direct hotlinks of images. So post images and not the page of the wallpaper.
Can grab wallpapers from: /r/wallpapers, /r/wallpaper, /r/NSFW_wallpapers, /r/itookapicture, and /r/pics, or you can type in your own category manually and the program will look for pictures in that category.

Requirements:

Net Framework 2.0 or above
Windows XP 32 bit (64 bit user's can not use the "auto detect" of screen resolution, they can still use everything else)
Needs to be left open in the task tray to grab a new wallpaper every x hour(s)

Pro-Tip:

Set the category to /r/pics and wallpaper type to "Centered" and your desktop background will change every few hours to something great!

3/29/2010 - Will skip NSFW images in /r/pics, if you want to look at bewbs set it to a nsfw category.
